Albany International Airport Terminal Information

Terminals

The terminal complex at the Albany international Airport consists of a total area of 230,000 square feet and is built into three levels. Three concourses are available for passenger services and exchange.

Level one is the level in which the ticket counters and baggage claim area resides. Most of the boarding gates are located on level two. The terminal's third level features a curved observation deck, which offers passengers and visitors an exciting view of the airport's runways, taxi ways and FAA Control Tower. Loudspeakers allow visitors on the observation deck to listen to conversations between the aircraft flight crews and air traffic controllers.

Major airlines such as American Eagle, Continental, Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, US Airways and United Airlines are included in the 11 passenger airlines serving at the Albany International Airport. These airlines operate daily through the 20 boarding gates situated in the three Concourses of the terminal building.


Shopping

Gift Shops

Gift shops are located on all three concourses. Several branches of The Shop of Capital Region Museums, Capital Gifts, Capital News and Gifts and Paradies Newsstand are located at the airport.

Restaurants and Bars

Food and beverages are available throughout the terminal. Coffee Beanery, Carvel, McDonald's and Saranac Brew House are located at the Food Court on level two. Checkpoint Café is on the second floor, Capital Deli & Pub is on Concourse-B and Coffee Beanery is also located at Concourse-C. Vending machines are available on the baggage claim area on the first floor.


Business Services

Internet Access

A Business Center is located on the second level of the Terminal on the C-Concourse. This business center provides passengers with Internet Access. Telephones with computer hookups are located throughout the terminal and parking garage. Wireless Internet connections are available throughout the terminal.

Fax and Photocopying

There are faxing and photocopying services available at the Business Center located on the second level of the Terminal on the C-Concourse. Fax material can be sent to +1 518 242 4489.

Post

The Airport Mail Center is located on the first level of the terminal near the Information Desk. the Mail Center provides vending machines for the purchase of stamps, envelopes, postcards, express mail and pre-paid phone cards. A US Postal Service mailbox is also located here.
UPS offers shipping material and pickup service and FedEx offers pickup service at the Mail Center as well.


Currency Exchange and ATMs

Foreign Exchange Desks

Currency exchange is available in the Business Center located on the second level of the Terminal on the C-Concourse. Travelers with valid airline tickets will have immediate access to the Business Center to make transactions. Passengers who do not possess a valid ticket or are planning to make sizable transactions should contact the Business Center at 518 242-4488 to arrange for an appointment.

Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)

KeyBank offers ATMs on the C-Concourse and in the baggage claim area. Fleet bank offers an ATM on the A-Concourse.


Extra Traveler Facilities

Tourist Information

At Albany, New York's historic Capital, visitors can sample history, culture, fine dining, art and entertainment. Traveling around in Albany is made easier by the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACCVB) which provides maps and directions. The efficient ground transportation facilities at Albany International Airport will provide convenient access to the city's attractions.

Elevators

Elevators are located throughout the terminal on all three levels for the benefit of the disabled passengers.

Telephone booths

TDD phones are located throughout the terminal and are clearly marked with the recognizable hearing impaired sign. An additional TDD is located at the Reservation Center in the baggage claim area.

Wheelchairs

Complementary wheelchairs are provided for the travelers using the Albany International Airport. Wheelchairs and assistance are available from Sky Caps or by contacting the airline representative. Wheelchairs are also available at the information desk located on the first level of the terminal.
