Introduction

Ezeiza International Airport is served by upwards of 50 national and international airlines. Given the size of Argentina, air travel is the best way to traverse large distances quickly between not only international destinations, but also between Argentina's key cities and regions. Be aware that a departure tax applies to international passengers leaving from Ezeiza Airport and is currently at a rate of approximately USD 18.00; the domestic departure tax is approximately USD 8.00. In addition to service from Ezeiza, domestic travel and flights to Uruguay operate out of the Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, which is located to the north of Buenos Aires, near the Río de la Plata.
