Introduction
Melbourne Airport is served directly by shuttle, bus, and taxi.
Shuttle Services
The SkyBus shuttle bus service goes to and from the airport, Melbourne Central Business District, and city hotels.
The service runs every day of the week, 24 hours a day. Schedules operate at a frequency of roughly every 15 minutes through daytime and every 30-60 minutes overnight.
Many different fare types are available.
Taxis
Outside the main terminal area at Melbourne airport is the taxi rank; and a little distance away in the premium parking area opposite the terminal entrance is the pick up area for pre-booked taxis.
A journey into the center of Melbourne should take about 30 minutes.
There is a taxi parking fee for the taxi rank; and a pre-booked taxi fee.
Buses
Public Buses go to and from the airport and various areas in Melbourne.
